My sister invited me to go walking at Riverbend park this afternoon. It started to sprinkle as we arrived and it was evident that a really terrible storm was headed in our direction. Like any reasonable person I headed west to Indian town because I remembered seeing a park titled Big Mound park and I assumed it was a suitable place to walk...
After a relaxing drive we arrived at our destination. It was a park with a baseball field and other sports related activities. I assumed there was a nature trail. The drive was still worthwhile.
We headed back to Riverbend and by this time the rain has passed and there was a pleasant breeze and interesting clouds in the sky with light filtering through them. The light was amazing which really shows in this image.
This reminds me of a highway man painting. We also observed 3 deer who crossed our path. They were skittish and close to a couple who her ahead of us. I was hoping to take a landscape with them in the background.
Maybe next time.
