Thats a crazy amount of lights John, mind blowing and certainly makes for a stunning picture. Great that you managed to catch it with some light in the sky, the blue tones help set off the lights, preventing them from being too harsh. Great shot.

      Thanks, Greg.

Thanks, Steve. The sky was actually pretty close to black when I took the picture. But since it was a long exposure (15 seconds) it captured enough light to turn it blue. And you are right, I have done shots like this where the sky is totally black, and it does make the lights look a lot more harsh ( harsher?). It looks much better with the dark blue.

Yes it is surprising how late into the night you can still get blue with a longer exposure, though winter is coming with lots of black skies ahead :~)

The blue sky and the reflection of lights really make this a stunning scene. I think this is one of the best shots of the Ore Docks that I've seen.

Thanks Jim. Sometimes it pays to simply be in the right place at the right time. I tried a similar shot the next night but I guess I was too impatient. It was a little earlier in the evening and I couldn't do a 15 second exposure to get those deep blues.
