hollywood reborn

    Newer Older

So it looks as though the Hollywood Theater in Dormont is almost ready to re-open. Unfortunately, the first movie they're showing is going to be Dreamgirls, it seems, and I would rather stare at my bare foot for two hours. However, I understand that the owner of Incredibly Strange Video may be doing some late night stuff with the theater, which is encouraging. I used to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show here and it had a good following. Would love to see more than second-run movies, but no matter what, I'm glad to see the theater re-open. Can't wait to see inside.

*UPDATE: The theater's marquee now reads "Opening March 30".

First time I saw Rocky Horror was at this theater. If Incredibly Strange is involved, there's hope.

hey, anytime a darkened theater returns to light, it's a good thing. let's all go to the next movie after dreamgirls.

I hope you are able to go to the dog park soon.
I took Morrie to the "DP" last Sunday and he had a great time.
He has more energy than ever and doesn't even seem tired after running around there all day! LOL!

Re-opening the Hollywood is such great news, I grew up in this neck of the woods and felt sad when I saw it was closed. I saw Rocky Horror here for the first time, also That was way back in the late 70's, I think. Nobody ever sees that movie just once, huh? Maybe they'll bring it back for the next generation. Wouldn't that be cool?
BTW, you did a nice job cleaning my Nikon sensor last week, Dan. Thanks for showing how to do it. You're very cool!
