The Groom's Moment
For me this shot had sort of a Yousuf Karsh vibe to it that evoked a bit of the look and feel of his masterpiece portrait of Winston Churchill. Which was nice, because that was exactly what I was going for when I set up the shot.
Strobist Info: Metered for ambient room light - 1/2 stop with one Vivitar 283 with a VP-1 module (high and to camera right) shot through an Alien Bees 20° honey comb grid with 7" silver reflector mounted on a Gary Fong Cloud LIghtsphere.
Basically, I made my own Fong Power Snoot with supplies I had on hand. I didn't feel like investing $70.00 in to a plastic version. The Fong Lightsphere fits nicely inside an AB 7" reflector. It's a wider snoot, and it's metal. So IMHO, it's a better power snoot anyway.
