Fort Mackinac

Fort Mackinac is the oldest Revolutionary War fort in the midwest. Fourteen original buildings on site overlook the straits of Mackinac's Haldimand Bay. The expansive lawn is known as Marquette Park and the monument to Father Jacques Marquette is square in the center and was created by Italian sculptor Gaetano Trentanova.
