Finally have them! :)
Each station needs them. Open roof, general purpose (coal, gravel, wood, metal scrap, whatever and whatever mixed with another whatever). There is always Eaos, Eanos or other variations of this wagon standing somewhere.
I thought my station cannot be different. After several good renders by Michael Irvine and one nice done with LEGO by Raised I thought I need a mix of both. Fully functional loading space and a true look of side walls.
Thankfully PKP in the era I'm most interested in used them in Brown colour that matches pretty well to LEGO Reddish Brown. And as we all know reddish brown with dark red and new strategy of LEGO colour quality gives nice weathering effect. Cool!
Let's play then. 50-something 1x2 plates with rail, many 1x1, 1x2, 1x3 bricks and 1x2, 1x4, 1x6 plates and several other parts per one. I finished 4th and got idea the 5th one will be devastated. Not finished it yet, though.
The first one I've done has mid sections made with 1x2 and 1x1 plates to make the texture of a worn metal sheets.
The rest is in a better shape :)
Frame is a skeleton made with plates and 1x1 bricks connected by plates on the top, which make the floor of the wagon at the same time. Together with the walls ending on the top it makes the whole construction pretty strong, much stronger than needed.
And that's it.
