Lazuli Bunting (Male)

Of the little birds, these are defiantly one of my favorites. All bunting have a lot of personality and charm to them.

There are several in the tops of the scrub oak trees outside my mother-in-laws house. I went over there to help her with her computer and took some time to photograph the birds. I set up a makeshift blind using a blanket and took these from an open second story window. I think I’ll go back and try to get some more shots after my trip to Yellowstone.

I had a long chat with my friend Ashley and he has once again pointed me in the right direction regarding post production. I think these images turned out very well and in part I have him to thank.

Make sure to see my shot of a female Lazuli Bunting.
