Isla Chora - Playa Samara

I painted my house yesterday and as I worked my way to the front, I saw that the tide was very low while the sky was simply beautiful. I dropped my brush, roller, and paint bucket, grabbed my camera, and quickly went down to the beach.

Walking around the various tide pools on the eastern end of Samara bay, I managed to capture a myriad of angles. I liked this particular shot because of the succession of colors that are represented in it.

In order to capture all these colors while still getting enough of the sky, I had to violate the cardinal "Rule of Thirds" - and I am quite happy to do so! Consequently, the island ended up in the center of this photograph...
