Harter Fell from Eel Tarn

Eel Tarn is a lovely stretch of water nestled among knolls and outcrops above Eskdale in the Lake District. I'd visited it prior to yesterday evening, but not for a few years so thought I'd check it out for future reference. I'd forgotten what a wonderful place it is, remaining seldom visited so has a very peaceful ambience.
The striking peak of Harter Fell rises majestically in the distance, offering a great composition with the golden reeds below. The light was much better than I'd anticipated, with some lovely warm tones. I'm rather glad I packed my wellies as the fringes of the tarn are extremely boggy underfoot.
