I played around with some Grand Canyon reflections after setting up camp on the third day of a week long adventure down the Colorado River. The canyon walls creep higher and higher each day, but the sun still reflects golden light from the cliff tops and illuminates the shadows with a beautiful orange glow.
This is a long exposure shot with my favorite 6 stop ND filter. I love how the longer time creates interesting effects with the water swirling around the rocks. And it also smooths out other parts of the water just enough that you can see an impression of the towering cliffs overhead.
