This paraphrased quote comes from a March Ad Age article and is
attributed to Matt Freeman, head of Tribal DDB. It isn’t a new point
to make but I liked the simplicity of explaining it this way.
The article is written from the point of view of brands and where companies should invest their marketing time and money. But of course it isn’t only true for companies and that’s what’s so wonderful about the internet. If fame and attention is what you want for your pet project, for yourself, whatever… it’s still hard to get, but it’s a hell of a lot easier to spark via the internet than any traditional route.
