mapping flickrs growth

I thought this'd be interesting to see. It seem like it is only just starting to ramp up in the classic hockey stick shape. If anyone has any other stats to help fill this in, please let me know. (or even better, if you can find an official version from Flickr - I searched in vain!

in order of date, the stats come from…

UPDATE: (July 2006): According to www.emarketer.com/Article.aspx?1004079

The number of unique US visitors to Flickr was:

923k in May 2005

2336k in November 2005

5163k in May 2006

And another... just found this in an old Wired article from August 2005: "..the community now numbers 37 million photos and 1.2 million members". www.wired.com/news/ebiz/0,1272,68654,00.html

UPDATE (nov 14 2006): My boss had dinner last night with Terry Semel & brought back this update:

Registered uders with photo's published - 20m

Number of photo's 2bn

I really must update this chart properly, change the scale on it soon. :-)
