    A very foggy day in the National Forest, was hoping to spot an owl, or other animal in the deep mist.

    This photo was in the March 2008 print edition of National Geographic.
    It has also been a two page spread in JPG Magazine.
    It won second place in the National Parks Foundation Share the Experience Contest.
    It won first place in John Faber Photo exhibit in the landscape division by the Smith Mountain Arts Council.
    It has been featured in Smashing Magazine and countless other websites and online publications.

    This photo will be in an upcoming book by National Geographic scheduled to be printed Fall of 2010. Titled "Simply Beautiful Photographs". It will also appear in a National Geographic 2011 Calendar.

    This image is fully copyrighted and its use and any derivative works are only allowed on my consent. Periodically, I search for those who have used this image without my permission or consent from me. This photograph has an embedded fingerprint that allow me to find even those who have altered the work.

    Latest news: This photo will appear in the National Geographic book "Simply Beautiful Photographs" by Annie Griffiths Belt. It will also be on display at the National Geographic exhibit "Simply Beautiful Photographs" from Sept 2010 through Feb 2011. It will also be in a National Geographic Calendar.
