THE STARE part 2

    Newer Older

8-Point Typical Whitetail Buck - Velvet Antlers. Big Meadows, Shenandoah National Park, Virginia

A familiar Buck bedded down in lush, tall green grass in the meadow. John H. Messner and I were able to get quite a variety of shots of him on this particular morning. I refer to him as 'the wide 8' but I suppose that'll have to change if he ever grows another point :-)

HDR -- 3 brackets from a single RAW (-2 | 0 | +2) merged and lightly tone mapped, no crop.

Great shots Larry, love them. This is a great buck. I hadn't seen him until last year (that I know of) so I had no idea how much smaller his rack was in 2010, wow!
