2013-08-14: (225/365) Tow-way to Heaven P1130495
Several members of Hithergreen's Aviation Club visited Caesar Creek Soaring Club today and a few of us took to the skies. Here, I'm in a Schleicher ASK-21 being towed to 3000' above ground level before being released for gliding. It was a fun day!
Shooting inside the glider was rather tricky - it's a really tight fit. There was just barely enough room to use my relatively small Panasonic DMC-GH3 camera with my 14-140mm lens. When I tried to use a Nikon D300 with a roughly comparable 18-200mm lens 5 years ago, it was obvious there wasn't enough clearance, so I ended up using a pocket-size point & shoot camera then.
