scan from an old photo. August 1997 I spent 2 weeks visiting my sister in Bellingham. We went camping on the Olympic Peninsula for 3 days and this was the only rain during my whole trip. It didn't even rain on us, just near us. This was when I began to really understand that the Pacific Northwest rain is definitely a seasonal thing. It was on this trip that I first began to think of moving west.
