Rotated stars/hexagons

This one's adapted from this page of The Grammar of Ornament (the bottom pattern in the large center diamond).

I'm even stealing Katie's books now! >:3

What I like about this:

Each star (or hexagon created by the light color filling in the gaps between the star points) is rotated 30° relative to the one inside it.

 

What I don't like about this:

The colors. Black was the only color I had enough of both 1x1 plates and slopes in, and I think it looks bad here. I ran out of dark blue and brown as well, but Photoshop helped with that.

It's also really gappy, especially at the tips of the dark blue triangles. And the black triangles' corners overlap a bit. And it's lopsided.
