First Secretary of State William Hague and UNHCR Special Envoy Angelina Jolie Pitt came to the LSE on the 10th February 2015 to launch the UK’s first academic Centre on Women, Peace and Security. The centre will be led by Professor Christine Chinkin and based in the newly established Institute of Global Affairs.
