2012 Welcome Back Fais Do Do
Loyola University New Orleans held a fais do-do for students, faculty, and staff to welcome everyone back for the 2012-2013 school year. A fais do do is a term for a Cajun dance party. The celebration, held Sept. 13, 2012, included jambalaya, cornbread, Abita root beer, and performances by the Tout Les Soir Cajun Band and the Loyola Dance Team. Representatives from the Audubon Nature Institute’s Wetland Express, the Gulf Restoration Network, and LaFourche Parish were on hand to educate party-goers about Louisiana's natural resources.
