F-4 Tornado that hit Sedalia, MO on March 12, 2006 - Soooooo, according to comments listed below this picture was actually taken somewhere in Florida sometime in 2001. I do apologize for the misinformation, which was only because I was misled.

    this was not 2006 or 2001. This Iconic photo was captured sometime in the late 1980's to early 1990's. It has been published in many books and magazines, and is actually a waterspout off of Florida.

    Taken by Fred K. Smith in Okechobee, FL in 1991. The image is a waterspout over Lake Okechobee, and thanks to the lightning bolt we can see the funnel of fury in all it's glory.
