Carré, Looking Outside
It was the first of several shoots at Katie & Eric's new house, and despite having camera troubles, I was having a blast frolicking through a new location.
Used to be, I'd just shoot a model at their home, but as time went on, I felt the need to go someplace else, trying something new. I got tired of the same light coming in through an apartment's windows, the same set-up of a model sitting on their couch. I'd already shot Carré at her house (fun), and at the beach (far more difficult than you'd think), and was actually floundering for a new location when I saw Katie & Eric's new place, spitting distance from the Silverlake Reservoir.
There is an undeniable sense of escalation I feel, the longer I shoot. And I'm not at all sure where it's going to lead.
Fortunately, I've had the good luck to find a whole crew of excellent women to shoot. I don't know how it is for other models, but I'm sure most of them aren't so cool that they'd come out for Round Table Pizza after the shoot.
