Happy New Year 1.1.2019
The 1st photo of the New Year and it was chilling. It was 15 degrees in the morning a 30minutes before the sunrise. The bridge lights were on, the chill factor was high and ice formed along the side. I decided to play with different exposure times to capture the light reflecting on the water, an 8sec exposure worked well. Photographed in Eagle, Idaho.

*Tip of the day*
Long exposures work well but use a steady tripod, drop your mirror and watch your ISO. You can start out with a base ISO reading of 64-100 than go up to help your shutter speed.
I like the 8 sec exposure for the smooth water look without loosing to much of the water details.
Remember keeping your ISO down, gives you the best dynamic range that your camera can produce. Nikon D810 max dynamic range at 64 ISO is 14.76.
