London Bus Company RT3062 (KXW171) on route 101 by Wanstead Flats - 16th September 2011

Route 101 Running Day - 16th September 2011. To celebrate 92 years of route 101 running from Upton Park Garage (which is set to close), the London Bus Company provided 2 RT-type buses to run alongside normal route 101 buses between North Woolwich and Wanstead.

AEC Regent III.

New to London Transport as RT3062 in February 1950. It was withdrawn from LT service (for the second time!) in July 1981, being sold to Ensignbus (which used it on their own London tendered services). It was then sold on to Blue Triangle in September 1993. After Blue Triangle was sold to Go-Ahead in 2007, the heritage fleet formed into the London Bus Company. An interesting fact about this bus is that it was used in the film Atonement.
