    I didn't realise they were scale-compatible with Minifigs. I assumed they were a revamp of the Belville stuff. I saw them across the room in Smyths but didn't get a chance to study them because I spent too long feeling-up bags of Series 6 guys at the counter.

    Yes, and they are proper building sets with regular bricks, not oversize pieces like Belville and Scala.

    The are the same sized? I guess Bellville was too big for the Lego world

    The Lego Friends mini-dolls are about two plates taller than regular minifigs.

    That's close enough to be considered "scale Compatible", and certainly close enough for them to use the same doors, windows and accessories.
