Outstanding! Beautiful evening softly lighting the ground. The north star and star trails are perfect. I really like the metallic UFO landing site there and off to the distance appears to be a hovercraft zipping at light speed! Awesome.

aaah, amazing. I love the... vehicle? in the distance, it just seems like a star is traveling by road. Fave for sure.

Troy, how hot was your camera after 24 minutes of exposure? did you let it rest? I assume not or the star trails would have been cut, but then why did you make 3 8-minutes and not a full-on 24 minute?

    Thanks again everyone!

AAU-Mexico I did it with 3 8-minute exposures because the sensor overheats in exposures longer than that. All 3 8-minute exposures have the same amount of noise and hot pixels, so I don't think the heat accumulates from shot to shot. Think of it more like a static charge that's released when the shutter closes.
