Some of us are timid.
We think we have something to lose so we don't try for that next hill.

    Calling Wisconsin Photographers

    More info:
    capturewisconsin.com

Hi there! I'm an admin for a new Wisconsin photography site, Capture Wisconsin, and found your photos via a Flickr search for great Wisconsin photography.

A local magazine, Wisconsin Trails, is putting on a photo contest for the purpose of finding the absolute best photos of Wisconsin and publishing them in monthly spotlights, the Wisconsin Trails Photo Contest Magazine, features and eventually in a hard-bound, coffee-table book.

What's unique about this contest is that users are in the drivers seat, voting for the photos they think are the best of Wisconsin. Our editors take a look at the top photos, as decided by users' votes, and publish them in monthly spotlights and in the Capture Wisconsin hard-bound book which will be published later this year. There are a lot of prizes to be won, although for most photographers, the exposure (especially if your photos make the book) is the primary reason to get involved.

The Capture Wisconsin site benefits photographers in many ways. It's all free, photographers retain all rights and it provides some great exposure for your website, Flickr page, portfolio, etc. (we properly credit you, and link back to you all over the place). What's great about Capture Wisconsin is it's becoming a place where thousands of local people interested in local photography visit every day. That means putting your photography, portfolio and photography services in front of the Capture Wisconsin audience is the perfect way to reach people who would be interested in you and your photography.

If you've got a free minute and want a shot at getting published, winning prizes, or just want to see some other great Wisconsin photos, head over to Capture Wisconsin at the link below.

    URL:
    capturewisconsin.com

Oh and we're set up with Flickr to use the Flickr API so putting your photos on the Capture Wisconsin website is a click of a button.

If you'd like to know more about the project, or want to shoot me a FlickrMail, please feel free to do so.

    Thanks for your time!

I'm not sure what it is, but I am fascinated by the single tree on a hill. It is one of my favorite parts of country living. Beautiful!
