I've just been sorting through your macro shots for the past hour and am totally blown away with the quality of your work (although I find it kind of a misnomer to call taking picures "work"). I can honestly say that I've never spent this long delving through one person's pictures and yet I feel that I'm just scratching the surface of your shots. The amount of detail that you are able to capture in colourful and well framed shots is astounding. When I retire 30 years from now, I hope to pass my days away in much the same fashion as you are. To sum up all my ramblings in one word I would have to say that you are truly inspiring.

Thanks for the comments all :)
nerdvin- glad you enjoy them. Macrophotography makes a great hobby- I've always had a fascination for bugs and small things (I'm a microbiologist by training) and this just gives me a good excuse to explore it further. It just adds to it all if you can help or inspire others to have a go.

This one is completely amazing! I was checking on the details and saw you have a CANON 350D, so you used a digital lenght of 105 mm... do use any special macro lens?
