Blythe Field is on the North side of Stebbins' Gulch. This large meadow is used during 24 Hours at Holden as a base camp. There is a wonderful diversity of biodiversity in this meadow.
Stebbins Gulch is one of The Holden Arboretum's most significant natural areas. The Gulch bisects a 800 acre forest that is home to an amazing array of breeding birds. Holden is an IBA and Stebbins Gulch is a Natural History landmark with the National Park Service. The area is open for guided hikes.
