Poland Wolsztyn 2000
Poland, scrapping of an ex-German 2-10-0 Kriegslok in progress in Wolsztyn yard. The boiler tubes (large superheater & small) are being systematically cut from the barrel. The large diameter pipe on top is (or should I say, was) the main internal steam pipe which takes the steam from the dome above to the wet side of the superheater header situated on the smokebox tubeplate (top left). The splay of narrow pipes beneath the boiler carried oil from the lubricator to the cylinders, axles, etc.
