The most colorful sunrise I have ever experienced. There was only a thin opening between the horizon and the rain clouds with the sun rising directly behind Thatcher Island. Small rain showers were visible all along the horizon line as well as dropping on me moments before. I was hoping that the rising sun would light up the underside of the clouds so I stayed on the beach during the short shower. It did so with such intensity that the colors reflected off the clouds down to the still wet beach from the retreating tide engulfed me in a rich orange-red color that I cannot even describe. This image was taken near the end of the most intense color burst during the sunrise.
