Pottery Road, 1947 - 18D

City of Toronto Archives, 1947, plate 18D detail. In 1947, Pottery Road led down from the base of Bayview Avenue, across the Don River and up into East York. Today, the bridge over the Don and the stretch up to East York still exist and are widely used on a daily basis, but the stretch north of the bridge, cut off by the Bayview Extension, is an overgrown footpath, abandoned nearly fifty years.
