      Hello Jon,
I am the senior photo editor for a new, non-profit magazine titled the AFRICA DEFENCE FORUM. The objective is to present news shaping Africa’s world today and tomorrow; reprinting Africa-related stories (with permission) of economic, political, cultural and military interest. Our intended readership is the African military professional, who will receive this magazine at no cost. The photo would be used with a story on the African military and it's risk of contracting HIV on deployments. I'm interested in using this HIV sign photo (or the one tat reads "you are either affected or infected with HIV/AIDS" in our story. May we have your permission, and if so, could you email me hi-res at 300 dpi? Look forward to hearing from you!

      Sincerely,

      Janel Norton

      Dear Jon,
This photo is wonderful. I'm not sure if I need to ask permission to use this photo as it is marked as "some rights reserved" in the Creative Commons License. We would like to use this photo on our website. We are a fund that supports civil society networks in the global HIV response and we are making brochures with information about the projects we support. Also, we would like to add this information somewhere on the website. Can I ask you permission to use this photo and would you have it in high quality for me? I hope so. Many thanks in advance. You can write me on kvandervoort@aidsfonds.nl
