Scree slope between Diskit and Hunder
This shot was taken on a 70-200mm F4L on Fuji Velvia.
At an altitude of over 3500m, the Nubra valley runs through some stunning Himalayan mountain lanscapes with peaks as high as 6000m common and some topping out at well over 7000m.
Here, the extremes of temperature fracture the rock and create vast scree slopes - the slopes dominate the tiny cattle feeding at their base. A strange lanscape, barren and dry but luscious and green near the water.
