An attempt at correcting improper white balance... 20120503_8148
This edited image is supposed to have natural-looking white balance, but it's still not quite right. The original (see below), uploaded at Moab, Utah without having been edited, looked awful because the white balance setting on my camera was set to "fluorescent lighting." How it got that way is a mystery (I disavow any knowledge of having accidentally changed the camera's white balance setting from "Daylight" to "Fluorescent").
This view looks down through Bow Tie Arch from the domes above it. This was the goal of a long hike/scramble beginning at Potash Road and ascending Culvert Canyon.
A few days later I photographed Union Pacific's potash train on the track visible below.
