    Be inspired to be brave.
    — Spencer Murphy

I only ever take photos of things and cats. I was too scared to do portraits until a local acoustic duo asked me to shoot them for their website. Most of me wanted to say NO, but I did it! and I loved it!

Well done for coming out of your comfort zone. I like how the person in the foregrounds neck and back frame the person in the background.

Naked Apes make much more interesting subjects than cats if you ask me! Congratulations on taking the plunge, it's a great shot.

I like the light and the person to the left!

I do like the way you've used the shower of light.
      Seems you're hooked:)

Well done Lisa :) I like how you've framed this and the way you've used the sun flare. It works so well in B&W too.

I'm not sure I like the composition as much as the others. I appreciate the focus point decision was deliberately not on the main forefront subject but then the background is a bit distracting and random, especially the tree disappearing out of frame and the 2nd man's hidden elbow. Just a difference of personal taste!

Wonderful job...really good composition. Well done for being brave both in taking portraits, and in pushing your creativity while doing it.

Agree with Marks comments in the gallery. It really feels like a 60s shot. Really captures a mood.

Thank you all for your kind and constructive comments. I'm very new to photography, having only picked up a camera about 6 months ago as a way of getting me out of the house after illness. I have a lot to learn I'm sure, and I'm pushing myself on a daily basis. The main thing is the enjoyment of doing it :)
