West Penn Railways Freight Equipment

This appears to be one of the West Penn built freight service equipment cars. It is about half the car and it has obviously been re-roofed and de-trucked. Real sure from the attached picture that it didn't have the door that is on it now.

Wish I could find the card for the gentleman that owned this piece of equipment. We came from the same mold, collectors! He had the West Penn Trolley 728 included in my photostream and also portrayed on a video tape that I have. Aside from all this, he had 4 count them 4 Nash Metropolitans that I drooled all over, a nash Kelvinator refrigerator that he kept the beer in, several Monongahela RR work cars, one of which had a 3 ft section of Monongahela rail(which I bought) and now a portion of graces my fireplace as the andirons. I also have a brick that he gave me from the front of the West Penn Terminal in Connellsville. The man was a trip!
