DIY: SPINmaster; a hard disk staggered spin-up system

a DIY experiment: staggered hard drive spin-up via some arduino programming, a ULN2003 relay driver chip, 5 low voltage relays and a ceramic resonator to keep the arduino clocking along ;)

this photo shows that the top 3 leds are in the green (powered up) state and the final one on the bottom is still waiting for his turn to spin-up (turn on the led and latch the relay).

when all 4 relays are latched and the final drive has its time to spin-up, the red led and relay on top (small black relay) go out, letting the pc out of its reset-hold and letting it finally POST.
