[2315] Heart Moth- Dicycla oo

Brenne mothing 4

This was the worst night of the entire holiday- wet and cold, with several moths settling on the outside of the trap and escaping before we could get even a record shot. We ended up with a total of only twenty or so and were unable to do them justice because rain continued throughout the day. But we were pleased to find this Heart Moth, which is a Red Data Book species in the UK and is found only in small areas in and around Surrey and Berkshire.
