Tribute To Our Heroes 388: Small Towns
Small town boys have heroes and toys
And some become the former.
They have inside them
Their country’s rhythm
Through love that beats inside ‘em.
Small town boys leave behind their toys
To serve their country’s calling.
They enlist as a group,
A small town soup;
Town says bye to whole troop.
Small town boys leave behind their joys
Things they love and make ‘em smile.
Moms and pops,
And cars that drop
Zero to eighty when clutch is pop’d.
Small town men who left town as boys
Oft’ return changed beyond recognition.
They’ve served with pride,
Lost friends who’ve died;
Small town manners their soul’s guide.
Small towns across this land so great
Contribute to our country’s well being.
Not just in food,
But in the good
Their principles rarely withstood.
Southern small towns thank you for the boys
Who serve us all so well.
Serving country and GOD,
Service their grandfathers trod,
And for that we gratefully applaud.
