Dingleberry Lake, Sabrina Basin, John Muir Wilderness, California.
This image is part of my Eastern Sierra set.
Folks, I don't make this stuff up; I'm not imaginative enough. Yep, this is Dingleberry Lake, about a six mile hike (one-way) from the Lake Sabrina trailhead. The hike here is pretty challenging but the views from the trail are spectacular so the miles pass quickly.
Although they're not obvious in this image there are several cascades which feed this beautiful lake. The main source of this lake is runoff from Midnight Lake which is about two miles south of Dingleberry. But there are numerous other lakes in this area which also drain into this one.
This is a HDR image, a composite of three shutter-bracketed images made with a Nikon D7K and Tokina 11-16mm with CPL.
