Anchor at Alki
Last night (really early this morning), I went to Alki with a friend, with the notion of checking out the view of Seattle from there. As soon as I got there, though, this (and not the skyline) was what I wanted to take a picture of -- it just grabbed my attention, somehow.
Of course, I also took the obligatory skyline shots (because, well, they're obligatory, right?), and a couple of others, but this was the shot I wanted from first arrival.
I have several exposures of it, and I think I like this one best -- it's bordering on too light, perhaps, but somehow I like it that way.
(I do wish I'd captured that left-hand corner of shadow... alas, I did not, though I could have without a problem, as the version here has been cropped slightly on the top and right. Ah well.)
(later...) I think this is probably my current personal favorite of all the images I have on flickr so far.
