Dream a Little Dream
The beginning. The drill, which is attached to the gold metal piece, is working and the adrenalin rush has also begun. This well is sitting nearly in the Nueces River in Nueces County, Texas. This is truly, 24/7. The Drill won't stop until oil gushes as planned and the shouts can be heard all 'round or if the well is dry, the quiet can be nearly tangible. I am told my an a flickr member who worked in Odessa,, that
"Actually, I think that is a work-over rig used by an oilwell service company and not an oil well drilling rig. Notice the pump jack nearby. Sometimes they need to pull all the piping out of the well to work on something at the end of the string, like the ball and seats, sand bailer, etc" I wanted to add this in because it could be so... I am not an expert on petroleum , but, I am smart enough to listen to someone who worked the fields in Odessa, Texas.... doesn't make it a bit less exciting, though, does it?
