Pear Caramel, Super Lime, Basil Lime sorbet

The PEAR CARAMEL is freshly churned, not quite set yet in this photo... I used nashi pears; also added in a few drops of Frangelico while churning to prevent the ice cream from freezing rock solid. Not sure how this flavor is supposed to taste because I've never had it before. It's OK... very sweet... but not as caramel-ly as you would expect. *In fact, I think it's too sweet with nashi pears... Recipe: herbivoracious.com/2009/01/caramelized-pear-ice-cream-fro...

SUPER LIME is really super limey! Whoa. The flavor is very intense and tart. I added some agave nectar because it was too sour at first. Also 2 tbsp of tequila. Recipe: technicolorkitcheninenglish.blogspot.com/2009/03/super-li...

BASIL LIME SORBET - for Christa. I didn't use my ice cream maker. Blended all the ingredients and put in freezer overnight. This is nice. More limey than basil-y. Also added extra simple syrup. Recipe: allrecipes.com/Recipe/Basil-Lime-Sorbet/Detail.aspx
