Dear God, make me a bird so I can fly far, far, far away from here.

The bloody lip is real. When I get anxious or deep in thought I bite my lips. It's a terrible habit.

It's finally snowing in New Hampshire.

Enter my print giveaway. I'll be closing it Sunday.

Wow, this shot is great(: I'm sorry you had to suffer a bloody lip for it though. And about your mom's friend defriending her, that sucks. I'm sorry. Don't change anything about your photography just to please anyone though. The majority of us love it. Your work is fantastic. Don't forget it.

That's not just a bloody lip, that is like a sliced open lip. chew on some crackers instead girl!
however, it DID make for a really powerful photo.

It's finally snowing in MA too! :)
That's ridiculous about your mom's friend. Clearly she's just jealous of your talent haha

wow this is so powerful and full of emotion! Goodness... some people really just don't know how to confront the world though... Of course keep doing what you love, and do it right! Its worth creating something "dark" or "crazy" or "intense" to get across things that matter! People need to know what happens around them and open their hearts to changing it :) Rock on Sarah!

I rather envy you being able to create that much of a reaction in someone with your art. As for your mother's friend...

I hope you never stop or censor yourself to try to fit into other people's comfort zones. That would be a tragedy.

Your work is amazing, don't mind people who don't get it, especially those who defriend you. LOVE the Jenny Curran quote, by the way!

Wow! I think this is gorgeous! The crop, the colors, the darkness.. It all adds up! And I think it's so lame that your mothers friend would do that!! Why would she defriend her if she thinks your photography is to dark?! It's art! You can't go through life smiling all the time right?!
I think the emotions you put in your photography is so beautiful and real, so maybe she got to awkward because it reminded her of her dark side?
Anyway, don't be put down by that! I love your photography!
