NGC457 Dragonfly Cluster and NGC436 Star Cluster in LRGB

NGC457 Dragonfly Cluster and NGC436 Star Cluster in LRGB.

All imaging took place at my remote observatory at e-EyE, Spain.

This image comprises 1 hour and 46 minutes of exposures but 212 exposures in total, each 30 seconds long. To be precise:

L = 62 x 30s

R = 50 x 30s

G = 50 x 30s

B = 50 x 30s

I intended on capturing 100 Luminance exposures but the Moon was about to set and another target called. This image exploits short exposures in order to prevent over-saturation of stars and in order to avoid problems with the Moon.

Equipment and software used:

Mount: Avalon M-Uno

Telescope: Takahashi FSQ-85ED

Camera: QSI 660wsg-8

Autoguider: Starlight Xpress Lodestar X2

Filters: Astrodon E-Series Gen2 LRGB

Capture Software: Sequence Generator Pro and PHD2

Processing Software: PixInsight
