This is from my recent trip to Goa in South India. As I've been travelling every year to India for the past 10 years (and I was there twice last year), I try to visit new areas when I can. There is much to see and do in India if you have the time, however I recommend staying away from the larger cities as much as possible since they are quite overcrowded now.
This rock carving is actually located at the end of Vagator Beach in Northern Goa. It was created by an Italian resident of Goa who I'm told spent nearly 3 years on it. Very few tourists to Goa actually see this because to get to it, one must walk down a steep hill, and then walk 10 minutes along the beach (and navigate around treacherous rocks) to the end of the beach. Vagator Beach is one of 23 beaches in Goa, so it is quite a challenge to see them all.
I can see 3 distinct sculpture elements in this. Can you spot them?
