a light in dark places...

I was going to try to join some others on flickr to shoot the Lights at around 7 last night, but the weather and a missing piece of my tripod kept me from doing so. I had dinner later on with my brother in Brooklyn (where he's just moved to, now attending Brooklyn Law there), and we headed over to Ground Zero after the weather began to clear. Having left my SLR at home, I was glad I still brought my little (albeit malfunctioning) Canon point & shoot. Taken from the Brooklyn Promenade.

The Tribute in Light are 88 searchlights placed next to the site of the World Trade Center to create two vertical columns of light in remembrance of the September 11 attacks.
