Assynt Giants

Suilven, Canisp, Cul Mor, Stac Pollaidh and Cul Beag seen from Aird of Coigach.

An epic landscape in both stature and history, bedrock said to be 3 billion+ years old and peaks formed by scouring during the last great Ice Age.

I'd fancied touring Assynt for a while and had spied a possible spot to park the camper overnight via Google Earth, once at the location and settled I thought I had seen figures on the horizon and being a nosy bugger I set off to see what was happening.. the figures turned out to be deer but I also spotted a fairly well known composition...so I decided to return at dawn hoping for some colour but with light snow showers pushing in from the northern coast the light never really appeared, the rest as they say is pure plagiarism!!
