Looking out over West and South Yorkshire from Bleaklow Stones, just to the right of Emley Moor Mast (or to give it it's proper name The Arquiva Tower!!) is home, as kids ( and if truth be known even now) we always wanted to be the first to spot the mast and we knew from wherever we had travelled both near and far...we were home.

Work as started on a temporary mast as the top antenna structure is to be removed but still keeping it the tallest freestanding structure in the UK

Looking down on Bleaklow Meadows and having walked them and getting lost, almost instantly.. You can see why Daniel Defoe, he of Robinson Crusoe fame described the moors as "a waste and howling wilderness" and truth be known not much as changed in the last 300 years or so..
