We called them "Patrol Boys" and if you jay walked you got reported to your teacher and she then would single you out for discipline(ususally a note to mom) I was a patrol boy and only ever repoerted kids 2 or 3 times in my entire career !

In those days kids did NOT HAVE THE RIGHT-OF-WAY but had to wait for traffic to clear !! Today the little snots walk out in front of you and if you refuse to stop you get a ticket !!! There is no justice !!

I don't mean that we should run kids over but it seems disrespectful to the adults driving the cars, especially when the kids taunt you by running out daring you to proceed !

Looks like a reunion of neighborhood kids....I lived at 2306 Park until 1957. I'm thinking about bringing my grandson back for the Fox Centennial.
